Sustainability Promotion Framework

SMC endeavors to address social issues through business activities. While the Board of Directors supervises the state of progress in sustainability initiatives, we have established the Sustainability Committee as an advisory body to the Board of Directors to strengthen its supervisory function.
To facilitate actions, we have appointed an officer in charge of the secretariat and have established a clarified system by which to promote initiatives through the persons responsible within each company division. In addition, we have Eco-Factory Promotion Office, a division to collect environmental data to plan and formulate specific measures such as the use of renewable energy.
