• SMC’s process valves are suitable for use in a large range of environments unique to the food manufacturing process (in which products that are water-resistant, anti-corrosive, paper powder and dust-resistant, heat-resistant, and/or cold-resistant are required). SMC is always aiming to expand product series in order to be able to support a greater array of applications using not only air, water, and oil but also high-temperature steam and refrigerants. In addition, SMC also has products that comply with various food hygiene and other food standards vital to the food industry such as NSF, FDA, and HACCP, which includes food industry grade (H1 grease) flow path materials in compliance with the Food Sanitation Act as well as all stainless steel models with IP67 enclosures suitable for washdown using cleaning solutions and hydrogen peroxide.
